Gentiva employees launched a north county effort with 'piggy-banks' at various healthcare facilities to raise funds for the Foodbank. They are committed to raising more than 94,000 lbs. of food through contributions.

Our Spring Food Food Drive collect 29,400 pounds of food. Our newly formed Food Drive Committee and volunteers worked to garner support from the entire county. We would like to acknowledge all of the businesses, churches and schools that participated; and the Food Drive Committee and volunteers for their dedication and commitment.

The Second Annual Memorial BBQ & Food Drive held for Joseph B. Hernandez, “Keeping the Memory Alive”, raised 4,737 pounds of food and $1,145 for the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County. The Bacolot Family, in honor of their beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, coordinated the food drive and the barbecue at Waller Park where more than 100 gathered to celebrate the life of Joseph who was dedicated to helping the needy.
Family and friends arrived to deliver the thousands of pounds of food and money raised to help feed the hungry.
