Food from the Bar
Santa Barbara Women Lawyers partners with legal firms and organizations to raise $20,000 in support of the Foodbank’s campaign to End Summer Hunger. Proceeds from Food from the Bar support Picnic in the Park, a Foodbank program that offers free, healthy lunches to children across Santa Barbara County during the summer months. In 2016, over 38,000 meals were distributed to kids through Picnic in the Park.
End Summer Hunger
Summer should be a time for children to enjoy playtime with friends, a week at camp, a family vacation, or time at the pool. But for many children, summer can mean hunger. Santa Barbara County children receiving free or reduced-priced lunches during the school year may go hungry in the summer. Together we will distribute over 37,000 nutritious meals to 3,255 children this summer. Your donation funds our Picnic in the Park program, which provides over 36,000 free nutritious lunches and enrichment activities for children and their families all around the county.
