The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County is ending hunger and transforming the health of Santa Barbara County through good nutrition.

During the COVID-19 crisis, the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County has a huge strategic responsibility across the county to provide food and services to 300+ nonprofits. The need to provide emergency food to the thousands who are and will continue to be laid off from work will fall on us, especially when unemployment and food stamp offices are overwhelmed and struggling to be responsive.

We urgently need help to deal with this tidal wave of demand, an activity we did not budget for. Learn more.

Empty Bowls 2020

We’re all in this together for Empty Bowls 2020! Although we’d normally be looking forward to Santa Maria Empty Bowls in October, with Santa Barbara and Lompoc Empty Bowls following, this year we’re all for one and one for all.
Save the Dates! Empty Bowls 2020 is November 14th-23rd.
Join us on social media by posting your favorite Empty Bowls memories with #EmptyBowls2020, support local restaurants and donate to receive handcrafted artist bowls.

JOINJACOB

Since 2012, the JOINJACOB triathlon team, led by brothers Jacob, 16, and Joseph, 14, races in the Santa Barbara Triathlon to raise funds that help the Foodbank offer healthy food and nutrition education to kids, families, and seniors in our community. A pandemic has only strengthened these young men’s resolve to ensure healthy food for all. For 2020, you can support their virtual campaign via the link above.
