Gardening Workshop Coordinator

  • Minimum Age: 21
  • Commitment: flexible schedule, commit for one year
  • Shifts: typically weekends
  • Duties: help coordinate events, advertise classes, print materials, order and pick up snacks/food, set up and clean up food during event, and related tasks. This person will support the Master Gardeners, who will teach the gardening classes.

Distribute Food to Seniors

  • Minimum Age: 18
  • Commitment: two weekdays per month long-term
  • Shift: the 2nd and 4th weeks of every month from approximately 7:00-10:00am (shift times vary by location)
  • Duties: package and distribute food to seniors
  • Physical Abilities: must be able to lift 25 pounds, stand, and bend for the entire shift

Teach Nutrition to Kids

  • Minimum Age: 18
  • Commitment: one weekday afternoon per month from September – May
  • Shift: approximately 3:30-5:30pm (shift times vary by location)
  • Duties: educate kids about nutrition
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
  • Physical Abilities: must be able to stand for the entire shift

Teach Kids to Cook

  • Minimum Age: 18
  • Commitment: one weekday afternoon per week for 7 consecutive weeks
    • We will let you know when the next class will begin
  • Shift: approximately 3:30-5:30pm (shift times vary by location)
  • Duties: teach kids how to cook
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
  • Physical Abilities: must be able to stand for the entire shift

Distribute Food to Kids in the Summer

  • Minimum Age: 14 without parent/adult
  • Commitment: one or more weekday afternoons per week for as much of the summer as possible
  • Shift: 2 hrs around lunch time, varies by location
  • Duties: distribute food to kids and engage them in fun activities
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
  • Physical Abilities: must be able to stand for the entire shift
