End Summer Hunger 2018
Summer should be a time for children to enjoy playtime with friends, a week at camp, a family vacation, or time at the pool. But for many children, summer can mean hunger, because
NO SCHOOL = NO LUNCH.
Santa Barbara County children receiving free or reduced-priced lunches during the school year may go hungry in the summer. Your donation funds our Picnic in the Park program, which provides over 36,000 free nutritious lunches and enrichment activities for children and their families all around the county.
Table of Life 2018
Set at the beautiful Montecito estate of Stephanie and Jim Sokolove, this year’s Table of Life garden party and gala honors two of Santa Barbara’s own heroes, Alison Hardey of Jeanine’s Bakery and Patrick Braid of Village Cheese & Wine, who opened their hearts and businesses to hold the community together after the tragic 1/9 Debris Flow.
Bringing together local chefs, winemakers and foodies, this year’s gala supports disaster preparedness initiatives that will build resilience and ensure we can stay healthy during future emergencies.
Consider sponsoring our 2018 Table of Life event. Through your generosity, we hope to meet our $350,000 goal to support the nutritional health of our community when disasters strike.
