Due to the COVID-19 situation:
The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County has a huge strategic responsibility across the county to provide food and services to 300+ nonprofits. The need to provide emergency food to the thousands who are and will continue to be laid off from work will fall on us, especially when unemployment and food stamp offices are overwhelmed and struggling to be responsive.
We urgently need help to deal with this tidal wave of demand, an activity we did not budget for.
