Fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, pastries, canned goods, kitchen staples and a variety of frozen dinners can be found in the new Girls Inc. of Carpinteria Food Pantry at 5315 Foothill Road in Carpinteria. Stationed near the campus’s main entry, the pantry is stocked twice per week with leftovers from Albertsons – food that is between the “best by” and “sell by” dates – and all items, including refrigerated and frozen foods, are available to anyone 24-hours per day.
