Hunger Relief Champion 2015: Windset Farms

Windset Farms grows a wide variety of tomatoes and cucumbers at a state of the art greenhouse in the Santa Maria Valley. Windset Farms’ mandate is to provide reliable, healthy and nutritious food that meets the demands of an increasing population and a delicate planet. It’s a global, long-term vision that incorporates good economics, optimum yields and consumer health. Their colorful heirloom tomatoes have been distributed through the Foodbank’s Diabetes Impact Group and Kids Farmer’s Markets which both highlight the importance of fresh produce as part of a healthy diet. Windset Farms’ work as a Hunger Relief Champion has helped turn excess into access in Santa Barbara County.
