Lompoc Record: Lompoc treatment center to donate more than 1,000 pounds of locally grown produce to Foodbank

A Lompoc treatment facility that also operates a farm is set to donate more than 1,000 pounds of fresh corn to the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County.

The food will be harvested on Saturday at the Sunset Farm Men’s Recovery Home, located in south Lompoc. The facility, which is operated by Coast Valley Treatment Centers, has partnered with other area agencies, including the Foodbank’s Backyard Bounty program and the Los Prietos Boys Camp, for this weekend’s harvest, which will be the single-largest donation ever from the farm.
